Privacy Policy

Our approach
Stillwork Audio is built to collect as little as possible. We ask for the information we need to sell you a plugin, deliver your license, and support you, and nothing beyond that. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use third-party tracking or analytics on the store.
What we collect
- Your name and email. These identify your license. Your name and email are carried inside the license file we issue and are shown in the plugin. We use your email to send your license, your installer links, your receipt, and any support you ask for.
- Purchase details. Your payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your payment and billing information directly. We receive a record of the purchase, for example the product, amount, date, and the email and billing country, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Support correspondence. If you contact us, we keep the messages so we can help and keep a record of replacements or transfers.
- Website logs. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address and the pages requested, for security and to operate the site.
What the plugins do
Our plugins run offline. They do not phone home, do not require an internet connection to run or render, and do not transmit your activity to Stillwork. A plugin verifies its license locally on your machine. Nothing about your use is sent to us.
How we use your information
- To issue and deliver your license file and installer.
- To send your receipt and, when needed, service messages about your purchase.
- To provide support, replacements, and transfers you request.
- To keep purchase and license records for accounting and legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or track you across other sites.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe processes payments and is the merchant of record for your purchase. Your payment information is handled under Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Our email provider (Amazon Web Services, Simple Email Service) delivers your license, installer links, and receipts.
- Our web host serves the site and keeps the server logs described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, and we may transfer records if the business is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your purchase and license records for as long as we support the product and as long as accounting and legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or provide a copy you can take elsewhere. To make a request, contact us at privacy@stillwork.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@stillwork.com.
European and UK residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. We process your information to perform the purchase you request, to meet our legal obligations, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the store and supporting our customers. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@stillwork.com.
Children
Stillwork Audio is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact privacy@stillwork.com and we will remove it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. Because we do not store your card details and our plugins do not send us your data, the information we keep is limited by design. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
